GETTING TO LJUBLJANA

Ljubljana is located at the intersection of major European transportation routes and is easily accessible by air, train, bus or car.

flight By Plane

The main international airport is Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, located 25 km northwest of the city. For detailed transfer options from the airport to the venue/city centre, please see the section below.

Alternatively, you can fly to one of the neighbouring airports and continue your journey by bus or train:

• Vienna Airport (Austria): approx. 2 hours 30 minutes by bus
• Zagreb Airport (Croatia): approx. 2 hours by bus / 2 hours 30 minutes by train
• Trieste Airport (Italy): approx. 1 hour 45 minutes by bus
• Venice Airport (Italy): approx. 3 hours by bus

Ljubljana Bus Station is the main arrival point for intercity and international routes. Direct international connections include cities such as Belgrade, Budapest, Florence, Milan, Munich, Paris, Sarajevo, Sofia, Trieste, Venice, Vienna and Zagreb.

train By Train

Ljubljana Railway Station is well-connected to local and international destinations by direct daytime trains from cities including Budapest, Graz, Munich, Prague, Salzburg, Zagreb and Zurich.

Access to Slovenia via motorways is straightforward. To drive on Slovenian motorways or expressways, you must purchase a Road Tax Vignette (e-vignette).

Where to buy: Online in advance, or at petrol stations near the border, post offices, newspaper kiosks and AMZS (Automobile Association of Slovenia) branches.

Options available: Weekly, monthly or annual vignettes.

GETTING TO THE VENUE (GR – Gospodarsko razstavišče)

From Ljubljana Airport

Public Bus (Route 28): Runs regularly from the airport to the Ljubljana Central Bus Station. Tickets can be purchased directly on board using a Visa or Mastercard. The conference venue is a further 5-minute walk from the bus station.

Shuttle Transfers: You can choose from several provider options, including GoOpti, Nomago, MNJ Shuttle, Markun Shuttle and ZUP Prevozi.

Taxi: Taxi ranks are located directly in front of the airport terminal building.

Car Rental: Car rental services can be booked via the Ljubljana Airport website. The drive to the city centre takes approximately 20 minutes (25 km).

By Train or Bus (From the Central Stations)

The main train and bus stations are located just a 5-minute walk from the GR Conference Venue.

Directions: Exit the station and head right towards Dunajska Street. Turn right onto Dunajska Street, walk under the railway overpass, and continue straight for about 300 metres. The venue will be on your right.

By Car & Parking

Directions from the South/Centra Centre: Take one of the main city entrances towards the centre. At the crossroads by the Intercontinental Hotel, drive onto Dunajska Street. Go under the railway overpass and after approximately 300 metres, the GR venue halls will be on your right.

Directions from the North: If approaching via Dunajska Street from the north, turn left at the last crossroads before the venue onto Linhartova Street. Take the first right to access the venue from the back, where the car parks are located.

Parking Options: The venue offers 100 VIP parking spaces and 1,500 spaces in the immediate vicinity. Additionally, there are 5 parking garages nearby providing over 2,000 spaces.

Street Parking: Available on Vilharjeva, Železna, Linhartova, Valjhunova and Dunajska streets.

Parking Garages: The Bežigrajski Dvor Parking House, as well as parking lots on Parmova Street and at the Railway Museum, are only a few minutes' walk away.
