What does the shortcut WONCA mean?
WONCA stands for the World Organization of Family Doctors. Its original name, which is no longer in use, was „the World Organization of National Colleges, Academies, and Academic Associations of General Practitioners/Family Physicians“. The acronym WONCA remains to honour its roots.
